American Culinary Federation (ACF) Chef Competition September 17th & 18th 2008

Officially sanctioned
through the ACF’s Greater Baltimore Chapter at Baltimore International
College, this competition will showcase the bounty of the Chesapeake
Bay and the talents of our chefs. The competitors will have 60 minutes
to prepare their signature fish and crab dish.
The
Maryland Seafood Marketing Program will award $1,000 to the chef
whose creation receives the highest score from a panel of three
ACF-certified judges. Second place will be awarded $750, and $500
will be awarded for third place. Don’t miss this high-stress
action!
To help promote the bounty of the Chesapeake Bay, the Maryland Department of Agriculture
is providing Maryland Crabmeat to each competitor to incorporate into their dish as well as
the prize money to the top three contestants. The winner will also get to represent Maryland in
the Great American Seafood Challenge next year. Complimentary Spices will be available
to all participants provided by McCormick & Company, Inc.
